MYSORE: Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda may be issuing statements that he is functioning independently; however, due to differences within the BJP, development has come to a standstill in the state, said JD(S) state president H D Kumaraswamy. He was addressing the Media on the sidelines of a private function here on Sunday, where he urged the BJP to seek a fresh public mandate.

“Sadananda Gowda is wasting time as the chief minister; signature campaigns are being conducted against him... officials are not bothered about implementation of development works as there is no stable government,” he added.

He added that a separate budget for agriculture will be of no avail. “Farmers are still committing suicides. The agriculture department has not implemented even half of its programmes. Yeddyurappa should understand this before presenting a separate budget for agriculture,” Kumaraswamy asserted.

‘Cong No Exception

 to Dissidence’

Ruling that the Congress is no exception to dissident activities, Kumaraswamy said that this was discussed in the party meeting chaired by AICC general secretary Madhusudan Mistry in Bangalore on Saturday.

"The Congress leaders have been asked to unite before preparing for the elections. How can they solve the problems of public?" he questioned.

The former chief minister added that JD(S) leaders will travel every corner of the state and hold meetings.
