‘Gangajal’ in all Shiva temples

BANGALORE: S N Krishnaiah Setty, Chairman of the Karnataka Muzrai Board, has made arrangements for distributing the ‘holy water’ from the river Ganges, at all Shiva Temples in the state, on the occasion of Mahashivaratri Day on Monday.

Setty said nearly 60,000 litres of water has arrived in Bangalore on Sunday from Bhramakund near Haridwar.

“Nearly 3,000 temples across the state would be providing the holy water to the devotees on Monday,” he said.

Setty declined to comment on the expenses incurred in procuring the water.
