Right to Services Act to Streamline Admin: CM

MADIKERI: Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda announced that the state government will extend its full support in getting a government medical college and a railway line for Kodagu.

The CM inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for many

development projects at a function held at Gandhi Maidan in Madikeri on Monday.

Sadananda Gowda called upon politicians to be pro-people, rather than self-centred. In an effort to bring transparency and changes in the administration and working style, he said that the Bill on Right to Services Act will be implemented. He added that the CM’s office will be the first institution to become transparent and anyone can see what is happening in the office.

He appealed to the officials to join hands with the government in file clearance, failing which the penalty will have to be paid to the complainant and added that the services of 152 departments are listed under the Right to Services Act. All issues will be solved in a phased manner, he assured.

 MLA M P Appachu Ranjan presided over the function. CM’s wife Doti, Speaker K G Bopaiah, Kunthi Bopaiah, MLC M C Nanaiah, MP A H Vishwanath, ZP president S B Ravi Kushalpaa, vice president H M Cauvery, former MLC S G Medappa, CMC Madikeri president H M Nanda Kumar, Deputy Commissioner N V Prasad, Madikeri Urban Development Authority president Sajilkrishnan were present.
