Did Ram Sene hoist Pakistan flag in Sindagi?

BELGAUM: Was the Pakistani flag which was hoisted at Sindagi on New Year’s Day, the handiwork of Sri Ram Sene activists as alleged by the Bijapur police?

Chief of Sri Ram Sene Pramod Mutalik expressed his anger against the police, who, he said, were maligning his organisation.

“The arrested persons do not belong to Sri Ram Sene and there is no students’ wing of our organisation as mentioned by the Bijapur SP,” he said.

Mutalik said he would have been happy if the police had arrested his outfit’s workers for burning the Pakistani flag in public.

“Instead, they are accusing us for hoisting an enemy’s flag in government office,”  he added.

Mutalik said Sri Ram Sene itself will unravel the mystery hand over the culprits to the police within the next three days.

“The ones who hoisted the Pakistani flag are anti-nationalists,” Mutalik added.

Meanwhile, Bijapur SP Dr Rajappa said that the arrested persons have agreed that they had hoisted the flag to create communal disturbances in Sindagi.
