Seers demand political reservation

GULBARGA: As many as 20 seers of Veerashaiva mutts demanded political reservation for them in the state Legislature. The seers, who were speaking at a function titled ‘Shramajeevigala Samavesha’ held here on Monday, which was also attended by former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa, averred that given a chance, religion and spirituality can purify politics.

Speaking during the inaugural, Yeddyurappa said that troubles are befalling good persons. He also expressed confidence that he would become the chief minister.
