BANGALORE: The Lokayukta Special Court, on Tuesday, disposed of the anticipatory bail petition of BJP MLA from Yelahanka constituency, S R Vishwanath, that was filed in connection with a private complaint alleging him of amassing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

Judge N K Sudheendra Rao, who had reserved the order for Tuesday, disposed of the petition stating that Lokayukta police had filed a memo submitting that they would not arrest the accused till investigation was completed.

“When the investigating agency has stated that they would not arrest the accused till the completion of investigation, the question of granting anticipatory bail does not arise at all,” the Judge observed. Further, he directed the Lokayukta police to comply with the undertaking.
