TUMKUR: Supporters of Tumkur BJP MP G S Basavaraju chastised Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda for his reported dual stand over the implementation of the Netravathi river diversion (NRD) project.

Addressing the press here on Tuesday, Kundaranahalli Ramesh of Abhivruddhi Revolution Forum said that the people would hit the streets if the government fails to clarify its stand on the issue within 15 days.

Ramesh observed that the CM may have been forced to issue such statements owing to local pressure. He also urged Union Minister for Corporate Affairs M Veerappa Moily also to make his stand clear on the issue.
