BANGALORE: Claiming to have developed over 100 taluks during his tenure, former CM B S Yeddyurappa on Sunday challenged the Opposition parties to take up a survey to dispute his claims.
At the 105th Guruvandana programme to felicitate Shivakumara Swamiji of Tumkur Siddaganga Mutt organised by Herohalli Virashiava Kshemabhivrudi Sanga at Herohallin on Sunday, Yeddyurappa said that he would have taken the state towards development at a much rapid pace if he were allowed to continue in his office.
Yeddyurappa who is keen to return as CM explained how he was ‘troubled’ by the Opposition, including his party men when he was at the helm of affairs. I wish nobody faces such a situation, he added.
Shivakumara Swamiji said: “Confusion is increasing in the country. People should work hard to ensure that peace prevails all over. People must develop rationality along with creativity.” Energy Minister Shobha Karandlaje said such programmes are necessary to instil a sense of religious conscience among youngsters.
