KGF MLA Y Sampangi was shifted to Parappana Agrahara Central Prison around 4.30 pm on Saturday.
Jail officials said that that he was subjected to medical tests and was put in an admission room. The chest number will be given to Sampangi on Sunday morning. However, he has been given a pair of white uniform.
The new convicts will be allotted their tasks every Tuesday. Convicts can’t get food from home. Everyday, they can meet around eight visitors. Legal advisors can meet them any number of times during the visiting hours, officials added.
“Sampangi was provided four chapathis, a 550 gm ragi ball, 210 gm rice and sambhar for dinner. However, it is not known whether he ate or not,” sources informed.
