BANGALORE: Human Rights activists across Bangalore were infuriated by the violent act resorted to by the lawyers on the Media.
Activist Anil Nayak has filed a petition with the Karnataka State Human Rights Commission on behalf of the media. “I am very troubled by the way lawyers behaved with the media. There is a political motive behind this, and this is a police intelligence failure,” Nayak said. He also plans to move the National Human Rights Commission on the issue.
Meanwhile, SHRC Chairperson S R Nayak ordered his officers to take action. “I have directed my office to register a suo motu case. We are planning action on the basis of what appeared in the electronic media. I have spoken to the Commissioner of Police to not spare the guilty. No one has the right to take law into his own hands,” Nayak said.
