BANGALORE: The Congress high command decided to re-nominate the Rajya Sabha deputy chairman K Rahman Khan for the biennial elections. According to party sources Khan was finalised as the candidate by the Central Parliamentary Committee which met on Wednesday. His name was announced by the AICC General Secretary Oscar Fernandes. It would be Khan’s fourth Rajya Sabha term. Former Railway Minister C K Jaffer Sharief, former Ministers C M Ibrahim and B K Hariprasad were other aspirants. Khan will file his paper today.
