BANGALORE: “There is a need to inculcate the richness of our land, culture and tradition, among the children and youth of today’s generation,” said veteran theatre artiste Master Hiranaiah. He was speaking at ‘Samana Manaskara Chintakara Chavadi’, a programme organised by Rashtra Jagruthi Seva Trust here on Tuesday.

Regretting the current political development witnessed by the state, Hiranaiah said, “Political developments in the state have reached a dangerous stage. Politicians who should have been a source of inspiration to the youth, have turned villains to the state.”

Targetting Animal Husbandry Minister Revunayak Belamagi who preferred to cool his heels at a resort, than to respond to the demands of the people, Hiranaiah said, “With people like Revunayak Belamagi, political ethics is reaching its low ebb.” Lamenting on the interference of mutt heads in political developments, Rushikumar Swami of Bayalu Kalimutt challenged the mutt heads who are supporting caste-based politics, to shed their traditional ‘Khavi’ and join politics.  On the occasion, a book named ‘Namma Bharatha’ and a patriotic calendar were also released.
