BANGALORE: In order to streamline traffic management and to keep an eye on crime in tier-II cities, six districts will be brought under surveillance cameras by June 2012. In the next three months, Bellary, Belgaum and Gulbarga cities will         be brought under PTZ camera surveillance at a total of 45 locations.

“This is in continuance of the surveillance established last year in Mangalore, Hubli and Shimoga. These cameras will help us to take action against violators and help in the better monitoring and regulation of traffic as well. In due course, the locations under surveillance will be increased,” said Director General and Inspector     General of Police Shankar Bidari.
