BANGALORE: The Lokayukta police registered an FIR against former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa, Congress leader DK Shivakumar and a former Bangalore Urban deputy commissioner on Tuesday in connection with a complaint relating to alleged irregularities in denotification of land.
The Lokayukta police have been directed to submit its report by April 14. Shivakumar and the then DC Ramegowda have been accused of illegally denotifying 4 acres 20 guntas (a gunta is 1/40th of an acre) in Benniganahalli near Indira Nagar which was notified by the BDA for formation of NGEF Residential Layout in 1986.
In 2010, when Yeddyurappa was CM, Shivakumar allegedly approached him with an application for denotification in the name of Srinivasan (who was dead).
