BELGAUM: A sixty-yearold woman, who was a keen follower of popular Kannada TV serial Bangara, died of a cardiac arrest on Saturday night when her favourite character got into “trouble”.

Kashawwa Rudrappa Badelapannavar of Basapur village in Bailhongal taluk was fond of watching Bangara — especially for her favourite character Kaveri — which is telecast on Udaya TV from 9.

30pm to 10pm daily.

As Kashawwa did not have a TV at home, she and some other women used to watch Kannada serials at her neighbour’s house.

On Saturday, she left her paralysed husband Rudrappa at home and went to watch the serial.

In Saturday’s episode, Kaveri is dragged out of the car boot, where she was hiding.

On seeing this, Kashawwa screamed and collapsed.

She was rushed to a hospital, but was declared brought dead.
