Protest no solution: Governor

Express News Service

Governor H R Bhardwaj on Friday said that protests cannot solve the Cauvery row as its an emotional issue.

Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a function in Raj Bhavan, he said, “The Union and state governments cannot be blamed for the current crisis as this issue has remained unsolved for over a century.

I will appeal to Karnataka Government to follow the directives of the Cauvery River Authority and Supreme Court to ensure justice to state farmers.

” He added that there is no point in criticising the advocates representing the Karnataka government in the Supreme Court.

“I know them and they are legal experts.”
