Sonia Gandhi to visit Mangalore on October 18

Congress president and the United Progressive Alliance Chairperson Sonia Gandhi will visit Karnataka and address a public meeting in Mangalore on October 18.

 According to official sources, the Congress chief will also interact with the party leaders during her one-day visit to the state, besides participating in a centenary celebration of the renowned Kudroli Gokarnatheshwara Temple located at the coastal town.

 The temple was built by the social reformer Narauana Guru in the late 20th century in Mangalore.

 It is Sonia’s second visit to the state this year.

 She had earlier visited Tumkur and had attended the 108th birthday function of the Sidhaganga mutt, Shivakumara Swamije, in Tumkur.
