Nirani accused of illegal land dealings

Express News Service

Industrialist Alam Pasha has alleged that Minister for Heavy Industries Murugesh Nirani had indulged in illegal land deals by misusing his power.

On April 2, Karnataka Industrial Area Development Board (KIADB) filed a criminal case in Ulsoor Gate police station alleging that a certain documents pertaining to 12 acres of land in Electronics City had been forged. This property allegedly belonged to Pasha.

The case was registered under Sections 468, 472, 474 and 420 of the IPC. However, a certain section of the media carried that the complaint was filed against Pasha, he alleged.

“The FIR did not have my name. To subvert the case in Lokayukta court (filed against the minister and KIADB officials for alleged irregularities), the Board is colluding with Nirani to get me arrested,” Pasha alleged. Earlier, Pasha had registered a complaint against the KIADB officials for illegally cancelling the allotment of 26 acres of KIADB land in Devanahalli. Acting on this complaint, the Lokayukta police had charge-sheeted four, including the minister.  Pasha claimed that he had been receiving threat calls from Nirani’s supporters.
