Devanahalli to be Bangalore rural HQ?

Express News Service

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Saturday  said the State government is considering a proposal to make Devanahalli the headquarters of Bangalore Rural district.

At a function organised to inaugurate the Advocates Association building by Bangalore Rural District Advocates Association,  he said this will  prevent people from coming to the city frequently.  “Ever since the International Airport was announced at Devanahalli, the land prices started rising and it has led to a lot of litigation.”

“As many as 12,000 cases are pending before Devanahalli courts and there is a lot of delay in disposal of these cases. Advocates should strive to get justice for their clients, ”  the Chief Minister said.
