Blast victim promised additional Rs 3 lakh for treatment

Express News Service

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah during Janata Darshan promised Malleswaram bomb blast victim N S Leesha an additional Rs 3 lakh assistance for her treatment on limb reconstruction and bone crafting.

Leesha’s parents were told to submit related files and bills to the officials for the surgery scheduled for next month at the M S Ramaiah Hospital. The money will be paid by the government directly to the hospital as and when the bill is generated, an official said. Another complainant Sunitha from Magadi Road, who had a dependent child, complained that she has been trying for the past 11 years to get a Ashraya house and nothing has been done. “I have met six chief ministers, including Siddaramaiah. I had paid Rs 5,000 to slum board for a house in 2003, but no action has been taken. I was given Rs 10,000 from the CM’s fund during S M Krishna’s tenure,” she said.
