BENGALURU: A huge contingent of top political leaders and other dignitaries descended on the city on Sunday to attend the wedding of Madhukeshwar Desai, the great grandson of former Prime Minister Morarji Desai.
BJP leader L K Advani, former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda, Union Ministers Ananth Kumar, D V Sadananda Gowda and Governor Vajubhai Vala were among those who blessed the couple.
Madhukeshwar, who is the national vice-president of the BJP Yuva Morcha, tied the knot with Sneha Menon, a journalist. Speaking to reporters at Kumarakrupa Guest House here, before heading to Kirloskar House near Hebbal for the ceremony, Advani recalled his long association with Madhukeshwar. “He (Madhu) had actively involved himself in my Janachetana Yatra. I have a close association with the Desai family for a long time,” Advani said.
