3 Arrested for Murder in Shivamogga

SHIVAMOGGA: The district police arrested three people in connection with the killing of Vishwanatha Shetty on February 19, near Gajanur village, in the aftermath of a Popular Front rally organised in the city.

The arrested include Aboobakar alias Putta (32), ambulance driver Umar Farooq (25) and  Iqbal (27). Umar and Iqbal hail from Edurpadava Moodusheddi village in Dakshina Kannada. Police said the accused had confessed that they were involved in the killing of Vishwanatha Shetty. They said three others, Iliyaaz, Sajuddin and Jalil were also present with them.

Police have so far arrested seven people in relation to this case.
