BENGALURU: JD(S) leader H D Kumaraswamy has sought for a probe to look into the losses incurred by state transport corporations since 2009 and blamed the then transport minister R Ashok for the losses.
“During my government, there was a reserve of `450 crore in the BMTC,” he said. He alleged that Ashok purchased Marcopolo buses against the technical committee’s advice. On the construction of 10 Transit Management Centres, he accused the previous BJP government of escalating construction costs from Rs 430 crore to Rs 750 crore.
