One More Held for Student's Alleged Murder

KOPPAL:One more suspect was arrested on Sunday evening in connection with the alleged murder of PU student Yallalinga. The arrested is Parashuram of Hulihyder village.

On January 11, Yallalinga’s body was found on railway tracks on the outskirts of Koppal. He hailed from Kanakapura tanda under Hulihyder Gram Panchayat.

Yallalinga was known to have pointed out  large-scale irregularities under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme in Hulihyder gram panchayat.

On May 15, the police had arrested Mahantesh Nayak, son of Congress leader Hanumesh Nayak, Manoj and Durugappa, associates of Hanumesh.

 Yallalinga’s mother Kenchamma had demanded the arrest of the other accused, including Parashuram, Hanumesh and his brother Ramesh.
