MYSURU: Lokayukta Justice Y Bhaskar Rao should be arrested for allowing his son indulge in illegal activities in his office, former Lokayukta Justice N Santosh Hegde said on Monday.
He told reporters here that despite knowing that his son Y Ashwin was engaged in illegal activities, the Lokayukta did not stop him. He said the government gave its consent to amend the law on the dismissal of the Lokayukta, but no legislator is coming forward to sign it.
He said as Rao had gone on leave for two months, the government should have given the authority to the Upa Lokayutka.
