Send Angry Letters to CM, Schools' Association Tells Parents

Express News Service

BENGALURU:  The Karnataka Unaided Schools Management Association (KUSMA) has asked its parents to post a letter to the CM against the unaided schools being harassed by the education department in the state.

In a meeting held on Saturday, KUSMA passed several resolutions where posting angry letters to the CM is one. As per the resolution copy sent by KUSMA, the letter will be drafted by KUSMA and circulated to parents who are sending their children to KUSMA schools through the school managements and they just have to post it to the CM via registered post.

The association had asked the member schools to collect the copy of the letter and circulate the same to all the parents who are sending their wards to these schools. “The parents of our children should know that their children simply cannot receive quality education when the school managements are put to such difficulty and harassment by the present government and its Chief Minister. Hence, we should ask all of our parents to express their anger and outrage,” said VRN Reddy president KUSMA. KUSMA has 2,000 member schools, which operates around 2,500 private unaided schools across the state with 25 lakh parents, he mentioned. “Private Unaided Schools in Karnataka are harassed by the state government and its officers.

A number of ill-thought policies and laws created by this government have led to the school principals and school managements spending most of their time at government offices and courts instead of devising and providing quality education to their children.

Nearly every private unaided school is in the court today and many of them are forced to repeatedly approach the Courts for their protection from constant harassment by government officers. All of this has to stop,” he said.
