Metro vending machine for tokens, top-up

Express News Service

BENGALURU: Complaints of long queues at Metro stations to purchase tokens or topping up of Metro Smart cards could soon be a thing of the past.

Namma Metro is in the process of installing ticket vending machines that will automatically issue tokens or facilitate topping up of Metro smart cards at stations where the footfalls are quite high.

These machines will accept cash and cards. This will be an additional facility to supplement counter sale.  Two such machines were being installed at Kempe Gowda Metro station (Majestic Metro station) on Friday and tested by Metro staff.  There are plans to install them in other stations.
