Thirteen Villages Near Bhimghad to be Relocated

BELAGAVI: With the Bhimghad Wildlife Sanctuary being declared as an Eco Sensitive Zone (ESZ), about 13 surrounding villages would be shifted to other places.

A total 19,758,83 hectares of Kabanalli, Warakadapatte, Chapli, Gawase, Dongargoan, Chikale, Shiroli, Nerase and Kongala which are

adjacent to the wildlife santuary completely come under ESZ limits and Parawad, Kanakumbi, Amagoan, Gawali and Pashtole villages come partially under the limits.

What is banned: All kind of mining, stone crushing, saw mill, industries which harm water, air and soil; use of firewood, establishment of new hydroelectric system, irrigation projects, use and manufacturing of harmful products to eradicate insects, wood related firms and dumping of processed and solid waste.
