TUMAKURU: Relatives of late IAS officer D K Ravi urged the authorities to exhume his body to conduct a fresh autopsy and ascertain the actual reason for his death.

Speaking to reporters, Ravi’s mother Gowramma, referring to the CBI reportedly concluding his death as suicide, alleged that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and his party leaders had played a role in tampering the autopsy report. “My son was not a coward to commit suicide,” she said, warning the government that she will take out a protest with the supporters, especially those from Kolar district.

“The body should be exhumed and autopsy should be done again. Or else we will do it and stage a protest along with the same before Vidhana Soudha,” said Ravi’s borther D K Ramesh.

They urged Ravi’s father-in-law Hanumantharayappa, close associate of energy minister D K Shivakumar to join hands with them to urge the government to order a judicial inquiry into the incident. “He has sent his daughter Kusuma, Ravi’s wife, abroad after the incident,” they said.
Ravi was murdered by vested interests, they alleged.
