BENGALURU: A BJP delegation, led by state BJP president B S Yeddyurappa, is set to seek Governor Vajubhai Vala’s intervention for speedy justice in the RSS and BJP worker Rudresh murder case.

The delegation will meet the Governor on Friday and submit a memorandum expressing concern over the continued killings of RSS and BJP workers in the state and failure of the police to nab the killers.

The delegation comprising senior leaders Jagadish Shettar, R Ashoka and K S Eshwarappa will request the governor to instruct the government to speed up the investigation. Meanwhile, BJP state general secretary C T Ravi, in a letter to Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, has requested a NIA probe into the murder.

“The state government and Bengaluru police are trying to dilute the investigation by trying to blame some domestic disputes as the reason for the murder of Rudresh. The way the investigation in the matter is being conducted is not satisfactory. A probe by the NIA or CBI is needed as certain radical Islamic groups and other organisations banned by the Union Home Ministry seem to be involved in the murder,” stated Ravi.
