BENGALURU: The Congress high command is likely to convey a decision about the post of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee President.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Saturday met Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Vice President Rahul Gandhi and other senior leaders to brief them about the party wins in the by-polls.

While he was accompanied by KPCC president G Parameshwara as well as working president Dinesh Gundu Rao, sources in the Congress conveyed that Siddaramaiah also met the Congress leaders individually, where he is said to have discussed the issue of the KPCC President’s post.

Parameshwara has completed six years as president and while Parameshwara himself is keen on giving up on the Home Minister portfolio and being president, Siddaramaiah is determined to seek a change of guard. Sources also said that there was no specific discussion related to filling up the two Cabinet berths that have been left vacant.
