HUBBALLI: Karnataka Anti Corruption Bureau officials searched the residences of a Commercial Tax Department official on Tuesday morning.
The sleuths raided four houses -- three belonging to one officer, identified as Kariyappa -- and one belonging to his friend in Bidnal in Hubballi.
Another team conducted raids on two houses of the official in Bengaluru. It is alleged that Kariyappa had amassed wealth disproportionate to his income. The team found cash, jewellery and documents related to immovable property.
