MYSURU: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s son Yathindra, who is considering contesting the next assembly elections from Varuna constituency, has grabbed the opportunity to reach out to villagers by campaigning for APMC elections.

The APMC elections scheduled for January 15 turned out to be a blessing for Yathindra to test political waters. Siddaramaiah, who kept away from APMC elections, is believed to have instructed Yathindra to campaign for Congress-backed candidates.

With Siddaramaiah keen on contesting the assembly polls from Chamundeshwari constituency, Yathindra along with Congress leaders campaigned at Udbur, Marballi, Marballi Hundi, Jayapura, Rathanahalli and other villages.
