BELAGAVI: A woman from Bevinkop village in Bailhongal taluk filed a case with Malmaruti police on Friday against her husband and a hospital after her pregnancy was terminated without her consent.
Vani Siddappa Dindalkop’s five-month-old foetus was allegedly terminated without her consent at a hospital at Shivabasav Nagar. Doctors at the hospital got her admitted as an in-patient stating she was anaemic and needed to be given fluid insulin for which she had to be in the hospital for two days.
After waking up on July 10, Vani realised that her pregnancy was terminated. When her husband and doctors failed to give convincing answers, she contacted her parents and they filed a complaint.
