HUBBALLI: A video clip that shows the staff of KIMS Hospital in Hubballi carrying four pregnant women on a single stretcher has gone viral.
The video has drawn flak from various quarters which are demanding increased monitering to prevent such incidents. It’s said that the hospital staff wanted to shift the women at one go.
The video shows the attendants pushing the stretcher with four women on it inside the lift. The officials of KIMS, however, defended the act of their staff saying that the attendants know their job and it could have been done under work pressure.
“The daily patient arrival to the KIMS is close to 3,000. The attendants have been advised not to carry multiple patients in one stretcher. The senior doctors have been asked to increase ward visits to ensure such bloopers do not repeat,” said a senior official.
