BENGALURU: “There is no such thing as waste water, only water that is wasted,” said P N Ravindra, Additional Chief Engineer, New Initiatives and Public Outreach, Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB).

Delivering the Balekundri Memorial Lecture at the Institution of Engineers to mark World Water Day on Wednesday, he said, “The future of Bengaluru depends on what we are going to do with the water we waste.”

Body care products and detergents used are polluting the water in a big way as they cannot be treated. “There is a need by each one of us to adopt eco-friendly products,” Ravindra added.
