Medical student commits suicide in Karnataka's Bidar

A final year student of Bidar Institute of Medical Sciences (BIMS) committed suicide by jumping from the fourth floor of the college building here on Wednesday.

BIDAR: A final year student of Bidar Institute of Medical Sciences (BIMS) committed suicide by jumping from the fourth floor of the college building here on Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as Kirhi K (23) hailing from Kannur in Kerala. Sources said the girl was depressed over not performing well in her previous exam. Her parents had come to meet her on Tuesday and had discussed her academic performance. They reportedly also talked about her marriage.

In-charge director of BIMS Dr Subhash Chimkode said that the college had lodged a complaint with police and investigation was underway.
