BENGALURU: The Kannada Development Authority (KDA) has issued a memo to Karnataka State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (KCPCR), directing them to communicate in Kannada. The memo was issued two days ago considering the complaints about KCPCR using English in its notices and judgments.
KDA Chairman S G Siddaramaiah said, “They can use English while communicating with institutions or people outside the state. But while working within the state, they need to use Kannada as the communication language.” KDA has also warned KCPCR authorities of taking the issue to the chief minister if they fail to use Kannada in day-to-day official communications.
