Jeweller robbed of gold on Netravathi Express near Surathkal station

UDUPI:A jeweller has been robbed at knifepoint by a gang of four youths on a train near Surathkal on Monday at 6.30am.

The 38 year-old jeweller from Rajasthan Rajendra Singh was on Netravathi Express, a daily express train running between Mumbai and Thiruvananthapuram. The train was approaching Surathkal station when the incident happened. Singh was asked to wake up by a gang of four men, who later robbed him.
Police said that the gang might have followed Singh from many days as he was carrying large quantity of gold with him.
