Demonetised currency notes found in gutter in Belgavi

According to sources, a youth spotted an old Rs 500 note in the gutter at the corner of a road at Benikatti Galli of Saundatti.

BELAGAVI: Demonetised notes of Rs 1,000 and Rs 500 worth over Rs 4 lakh were found in a gutter at Saundatti town of Belagavi district on Monday.

According to sources, a youth spotted an old Rs 500 note in the gutter at the corner of a road at Benikatti Galli of Saundatti.

When he picked it up, he spotted one more old Rs 500 note. He peeped in to the gutter and found a bag which was filled with demonetised currency notes of Rs 1,000 and Rs 500. After the news reached Saundatti police, they checked the currency notes and seized them.
