Karnataka's Mulbagal MLA says he’s not happy

Speaking to Express, he said he was getting ready to take oath as minister and later he came to know that his name was not in the list.

KOLAR/BENGALURU: “When Ranebennur independent MLA R Shankar was accommodated in the cabinet, why not me,” questioned Mulbagal Independent MLA Nagesh. Speaking to Express, he said he was getting ready to take oath as minister and later he came to know that his name was not in the list. He said he is disappointed with the decision. “When I won from Mulbagal seat as independent MLA, Congress leaders assured me that I will be made minister. After my victory, senior leader D K Shivakumar came to Mulbagal and took me to Bengaluru.” Nagesh said he will take a decision after consulting senior leaders of Mulbagal who worked for his victory.

It’s a bumper for Tumakuru

Tumakuru got a bumper in the cabinet expansion like never before. Besides DyCM in G Parameshwara, Koratagere MLA, two senior MLAs M Venkataramanappa of the Congress party and S R Srinivas of the JD(S) got cabinet berths. For the past two decades,  there had been a maximum of two ministers in the cabinet from Tumakuru.
