Missing elderly man from Hassan traced to Guwahati

Puttaswamiah is currently living in an old age home after taking treatment at a hospital in Latasil with the help of locals. Efforts are on to bring him to his native within a week, sources said.

HASSAN: Close on the heels of a missing elderly woman from Hassan traced in Assam border, a 71-year-old elderly person who went missing from Hassan was found in Guwahati after one-and-a-half years. Puttaswamiah of Karle village in Hassan taluk was traced by pro-Hindu workers in Roopnagar of Guwahati. Efforts are being made to bring him to his native village. 

According to Harshith and Manjunath from ABVP, they have identified Puttaswamiah based on the Aadhaar card in his pocket and heard him speaking Kannada. Harshit and Manjunath had gone to Guwahati recently, it is said.

Sources said family members of Puttaswamiah had lodged a missing complaint one-and-a-half years ago.
