KOCHI: Madhyamam senior reporter P K Prakash has won the prestigious Ramnath Goenka award for excellence in journalism.

The award, which includes a cash prize of Rs one lakh and a plaque, will be presented at a function to be held at the Taj Palace in New Delhi on April 13.

The award has been instituted by the Indian Express Group in honour of its founder Ramnath Goenka. The series on land reform 'Bhoomiyude Jathi’ and the series on the crisis in the agricultural sector 'Choothattam Thudarunna Vipani; Pariharam Kanaatha Package’ were considered for the award.
