Malayalam short film selected for German fest

KOLLAM: `Anganeyirikke Oru Divasam’, a short film directed by Varun G Panicker, has been selected for the Ziesche International Student Film Festival in Germany.

  The film is the only Malayalam short film included among the 18 short films from India. The film will be screened on April 24 in the festival at Potsdam in Germany.

  The film is about the fantasy of a youth who adores the heroes of movies and tries to imitate them in the real life.

Live sound technology has been used for the sound recording of the 8.34-minute-long film.

  The film had been screened at the Chennai International Film Festival also.

  Varun has got PG Diploma in Film Direction from L.V.Prasad Film and TV Academy, Chennai. He is the son of P.Gopala Pillai and college lecturer S.Geetha of Karthika, Kallumthazham, Kollam.s
