Hindu Maha Sammelanam inaugurated

THRISSUR: VHP international general secretary Praveen Togadia said that Hindu dharna was the science of maintenance of the Universe.

Inaugurating the Hindu Maha Sammelanam organised as part of the district meet of the Hindu Aikya Vedi at the Thekkinkad Maidan here on Tuesday, he exhorted Hindus to remain strong in their belief and to unite to fight against forces engaged in the conversion of Hindus.

The VHP leader said that medical science could understand the functioning of human body and diagnosis and treat illness. But it could not tell us many other things about a human being.

However, Hindu dharma, which is a science of human life, could tell us much more about the human beings and remove their pains and difficulties.

He said there are many gods and goddesses in Hindu religion from whom the devotees seek specific blessings.

He said that every pooja performed by Hindus was a science to alleviate the sufferings and pains of human beings.

Hindu Aikya Vedi district president Kalarikkal Ravindranath presided over the function.

VHP state president K P Sasikala delivered the keynote address. Palakkal Madhava Menon, V R Satiavan, K P Balakrishnan, K M Sankarankutty Marar and others spoke.
