PATHANAMTHITTA: The pallivetta ritual, one of the main events of the annual festival of Omalloor Sree Rakthakandaswami Temple will be celebrated on May 13.

 The ritual will be held at the Uzhuvath Bhagavathi Temple  in the evening after the arattu procession reaches the arattukadavu on the side of the Achencovil river. After the ritual in connection with the Pallivetta, the procession will reach the Omalloor temple at 3 a.m.

ELEPHANT PAGEANTRY

15 caparisoned elephants participated in the arattu procession on Tuesday afternoon. The procession left the temple after the Pancharimelam performance by Mattannoor Sankarankutty Marar and his 70-member team. Hundreds of devotees witnessed the unique procession and Pancharimelam performance at the temple and later at Omalloor Market Junction. Religious discourse, violin concert and drama were also held.
