KERALA:  Thousands of people offered prayers before Sree Guruvayurappan and Idatharikathukavil Bhagavathy at the Sree Krishna Temple here on the Vijayadasami day on Monday. Nearly 670 babies were initiated into the world of letters at the temple.

Choroonu was performed for nearly 400 tiny tots.The temple Othikkans performed the Saraswathi poojas on the books and the Poojayeduppu ritual at the Koothambalam. The Keezhsanthis performed the Ezhuthiniruthu ritual after the siveli. Special kazhchasiveli was also held at the temple. Special rituals were performed at the Bhagavathy temple also.

Guruvayur Devaswom officials led by administrator V Ratheesan and deputy administrator P V Somasundaram managed the heavy crowd of devotees.

The Navarathri celebrations at the Mammiyoo Mahadeva temple, Perumthatta Siva
