NEDUMBASSERY:  The mortal remains of P V Rahul, of Udayanapuram in Vaikom, who was among the 12 IAF personnel killed in the IAF helicopter crash in Arunachal Pradesh on Friday, was brought by a Jet Airways flight to Kochi Airport here at 7.30 p.m. on Monday. The helicopter was flying to Guwahati from Tawand in Arunachal Pradesh when it crashed, killing 12 IAF personnel.

The body was placed in front of the domestic terminal of the airport for the public to pay homage. Vaikom Tahsildar N Sunderan Achari, Kottayam district protocol officer P Padmakumar and District Welfare Office assistant director A K Ramakrishnan were among those who placed wreaths on the body. The relatives of the deceased received the body and took it home in Udayanapuram.
