KOCHI: The Ernakulam NIA Special Court has issued a production warrant for the four accused in the Kalamassery bus-burning case, who are jailed in Bangalore central prison in connection with the Bangalore bomb blasts case.

Judge S Vijayakumar issued the warrant for first accused Thadiyantavide Nazir, fifth accused Sabir Buhari, seventh accused Tajuddin and eleventh accused Ummar Farooque. They will be produced on January 24.

The NIA had filed argesheet against 13 accused. Thadiyantavide Nazir, the alleged LeT commander, is the prime accused in the case while Soofiya Madani, wife of Peoples Democratic Party leader Abdul Nasser Madani, is the tenth accused in the list. The chargesheet said that the accused entered into a criminal conspiracy in the first week of September 2005 to torch the TNSTC bus in retaliation for the continued detention of Abdul Nasser Madani in Coimbatore jail. On September 9, the accused threatened the driver, asked all the 31 passengers to get off the bus and then burnt it.
