THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Electricity Minister Aryadan Mohammed on Wednesday launched the e-payment facility for HT/EHT consumers of the Kerala State Electricity Board. This category of consumers can now pay their electricity bills using debt/credit cards and internet banking facilities.

The Minister also gave away awards to the KSEB offices that performed well during the 2010-2011 fiscal.

In the generation sector, the Sabarigiri hydro-electric station was adjudged the best generating station and the Poozhithodu hydro-electric committee was presented with the project implementation award.

In the transmission sector, 110-KV New Vytilla is the best sub-station section, Thirumala is the best sub-station sub-division while Areekode and Poovanthuruthu were adjudged the best line maintenance sections.

Poovanthuruthu won the award for the best line maintenance sub-division and Thambalamanna won the award for the best transmission construction section.

Kaloor and Poovanthuruthu shared the award for the best transmission construction sub-division. Kanjirode is the best transmission division and Palakkad, the best transmission circle. In the distrubution sector, Edava was selected as the best electrical section and Adoor and Pathanamthitta were adjudged the best division and circle, respectively.
